Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe came from a multicultural family. She was born within South London. Her father is Nigerian-Swiss and her mother is English. She grew in an estate in South London community estate, as a teenager, she 14, attended The Brit School. In London she attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art where her acting certificate was awarded. During her time at the academy, she performed in a number of stage productions, including King Henry V playing Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights portraying Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe's acting career started in the series Storm Damage. Since then she's made guest appearances in films like Teachers, Doctors Casualty Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's film debut was in Woody Allen's Cassandra's Dream (2007), alongside Colin Farrell. Following that, she played Elisha (a BBC Three drama-pilot) in West 10 LDN. Additionally, she starred in Trexx as Ollie and six episodes in Flipside. She played Bambi on The ITV2 series Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe was a part of the comedy film How to Lose Friends & Alienate People. She also appeared on the screen in Little Sweet Thing, by Roy Williams, and Flight Path written composed by David Watson.
Madekwe made her US debut on the drama series The Beautiful Life, which only aired two episodes in the US on The CW before being cancelled. Ashley Davenport was her role in the ABC drama Revenge. After appearing on the show for the initial two seasons it was announced in May 2013 that Madekwe was set to depart the series following a guest appearance in the premiere episode from the 3rd season. From 2014 until the year 2016, she appeared on Salem as Tituba. Her long-time friend, Iddo, married Madekwe in June 2012. Together, they worked on Secret Diary of a Call Girl. He also played with Madekwe in Salem.
Ashley Leggat, an actress that was nominated two times for a Gemini Award, is a member of an extensive Hamilton family. Her family included her parents Roy and Patty as well as four of their older brothers: Brett, Todd and Bram twins, Rob, and Brett. Ashley's four brothers, each of them extremely physically active, were all playing hockey during the winters and baseball in the summer months, which means that she grew up playing in parks and arenas. Ashley was never able to walk, but she danced. At the age of two, she took up Baby Ballet and fell in the love. Ashley discovered her love for dancing at the age of. After graduating from the high school she attended, Ashley danced competitively in the top divisions in ballet, tap, jazz pointe, acrobatics lyrical, musical theatre and hip-hop. Ashley was awarded the top soloist honor at each major dance event, such as International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance, to name just some.
